  • When Jo helps any family on this show, their lives are inevitably changed for the better, and we the audience even get to see future checkups on the family in question!
  • The Duan-Ahn family's dad works extremely long hours before Jo gets involved. Because of this, his kids are thrilled to see him when he does come home. Granted, they're hyped up and treating Dad like a human jungle gym, in Jo's words. That said, it's kind of adorable to watch.
  • The Merrill family has adopted all four of their kids. Two of those children come from Ghana and are terrified of the dark because there, militants come through, round up people, and set fire to their homes at night. Jo tackles this issue using a modified Stay in Bed technique, which involves using soft lights to make the bedroom calm and secure, and reassuring the children they are safe.
  • Jo encourages parents to praise their children often; it's heartwarming to see them learn to do this, especially if they've been hard on their kids in the past.
  • In the end of the Dostal Family when Erin asked her mom Brenda if she could open her candies and her mom said that she can, her big brother Zachary came by and said that he'll open them for her. That was sweet of him to open his sister's candies just for her.
  • In the Silva Family's episode, there's six-year-old Mackenzie's adorable description of her baby brother Caden.
Mackenzie: He's the handsomest little baby I ever seen. And the tiniest. Yeah, he's like this big. (shows with her hands)
  • When Hailey Amouri, now 20, posted about her experience on Tiktok, Jo saw and messaged her, admiring how grown up she got and asked her to send her love to the family.
  • The Lewis family is a bit of an unusual case. The kids are both sweet and fairly well-behaved for their ages (a toddler and an infant) and Mom is genuinely overwhelmed not because of them, but because her husband had very recently died, recent enough that the older child was asking where he was and when he'll come home, and mom was swamped with the preparations and terrified of what her children's lives would be like without their father. Jo is there in a flash to help with anything Mom needs, child-related or not. All though they episode, we learn that her husband was well-loved and fought his cancer off long enough to hold his son in his arms. The episode ends with Jo gathering up all of Mom's and her late husband's friends and neighbors for a surprise party, during which they all vow to help her in any way they can. The episode ends with a dedication to the husband.
