Heartwarming / Spirit Circle

• How each incarnation seemed to resolve problems from the previous incarnation:
  • Flors in his last moments deeply regrets how he was so distant to his wife Lihanerra, and promised how he would do anything to make her happy if he were given another chance. Lihanerra herself loved her servant Kertenos, but could not be with him due to their status differences. In their next life, Flors and Lihanerra are now the half siblings Houtarou and Rihama. Sure enough, Houtarou is willing to sacrifice himself so that Rihama could be with her love Jinkurou, Kertenos' reincarnation.
  • Houtarou and Iwana died rather peacefully, their only regret being unable to fulfill their promise to adopt Akari as their daughter. In their next life, Lafalle and Lapis adopted Akari's reincarnation Carol.
  • Most of Daiki's incarnations are good men, but severely alcoholic. This is until Houtarou's life, where the priest blamed himself on getting too drunk to stop Houtarou from sneaking out and dying. His next reincarnations can't stand alcohol even a single drop.
  • One of Flors' regrets was that he was unable to see his mentor, who was like a father figure to him, before his mentor's death. Then we learn his mentor was reincarnated in the present day as Toukichi, Fuuta's actual father. Likewise, Matsu, the woman who wet nursed Rihama and Houtaro, is reincarnated into Fuuta's mother.
  • Flambe's lives always played an older brother figure to Fortuna's, but they nearly always devolved into taking an obsessive, jealous one-sided Sibling Rivalry because he felt inferior. in Lafalle's life, Ash works on his temper and remains something of a Friendly Enemy to Lafalle; and when he's reborn in Fuuta's time, it's in the younger position so Fuuta's spirit can be better able to guide and teach him without showing him up. Fortuna also takes careful notice of his life as Kajirou and suggests a name without the ji (second) character, so Shinichi doesn't end up resenting his name.
• Houtarou's death in their rendezvous spot, where he was able to confirm that Jinkurou and Rihama indeed survived, despite not being able to see them one last time. Present day, the rendezvous spot is now a fast food joint. When Fuuta and Kouko went there, they met Umi and Tetsu, Rihama and Jinkurou's reincarnations. Houtarou was able to have one final rendezvous with them after all. Furthermore, it's implied that Umi and Tetsu are Rihama and Jinkurou's descendants, implying they did have a happy life together like Houtarou wished.
• The concept of friends reincarnating together is heartwarming by itself. Even after death, you will still be able to see your loved ones again, even if you have different relationships and don't remember it.
• Obayashi remained standing as a spirit, protecting his household for centuries even into Fuuta's modern day. Fuuta, not yet recognizing him, uses the Spirit Circle on his soul and accidentally returns him to the Cycle. When he does figure out who the samurai was, he immediately gets upset and worries over if he had destroyed the spirit, showing how much Houtarou cared for Obayashi.
