    General
  • One of the main things this series reaffirms is that despite how acerbic and aloof Ramona could seem with Scott, even after her first date she genuinely unambiguously loved him as much as he loved her, and is willing to fight for the prospect of a future with him the same way he did for her.

Episode 1: "Scott Pilgrim's Precious Little Life"
  • Scott and Ramona's first meeting is recontextualized a bit. She's still confused, and he still runs away, but there's no sense that she's angry at him. She later brings up the trivia he mentioned a few times, making it clear she did think it was interesting.
  • When Scott and Ramona have their make-out session and stop before going too far, they both say Let's Wait a While, instead of the film's version of the scene, where Scott seems a bit miffed about it.
  • Ramona is genuinely happy to be at the show, and tells Julie a little shyly that she's "sort of involved" with someone in the band.

Episode 2: "A League of Their Own"
  • The sheer amount of people who visited Scott's funeral. Even with Envy hijacking the funeral to sing, the fact that Scott had many people going to his funeral shows that he was liked despite being considered a loser.
    • Scott's family and Ramona are the only people unaffected by Envy's song, preferring to mourn his death rather than pretend it didn't happen.
    • Envy being there at all. Even with how things ended with Scott, she still dumped whatever she was doing and came back to Toronto from Montreal for the funeral. Even when she ended up turning the service into a concert, she still cared a bit.
  • In a case of Villainous Friendship near the end of the episode, the rest of the Evil Exes congratulate Matthew for his victory against Gideon.
  • The end of the episode has Ramona hearing Scott's voice in her dreams, realizing that Scott is alive.

Episode 3: "Ramona Rents a Video"
  • Julie is flabbergasted that Ramona is going through so much effort to find Scott.
Julie: You went on one date. Was it really that good?
Ramona: [smiles] It sort of was.
  • Ramona and Roxy talking things through, ending with Roxy forgiving Ramona for the way their relationship ended. The two then watch a movie together with Kim, laughing and having fun together.
  • While Knives is practicing bass at Stephen Stills' place, Kim asks if she wants to rehearse together "for fun." When they do, sparks start flying almost immediately, and they both look genuinely really into it.

    Episode 4: "Whatever"
  • Lucas Lee and Ramona reconciling, with her sneaking him past the paparazzi.
    • Also of note is Lucas immediately pulling Ramona out of the way when said paparazzi appear, and her tossing him his skateboard to fight with in turn.

    Episode 5: "Lights. Camera. Sparks?!"
  • The realization that Wallace did everything to get back at Envy for breaking Scott's heart, even if he ended up taking it too far and broke Todd's heart just as badly.
  • Envy is genuinely pissed at Wallace for breaking Todd's heart, despite Todd having cheated on her. She's also distressed by Todd's breakdown.
Envy: Todd? Baby?! [...] YOU. BROKE. MY. BOYFRIEND!

    Episode 6: "WHODIDIT"
  • What is Gordon's only demand in exchange for helping Lucas? That Lucas be his friend. Cue a montage of them playing games, building a skate ramp, and watching anime together.

    Episode 7: " 2 Scott 2 Pilgrim"
  • One cute little moment: One of the slides in the VR goggles reveals that the thing was originally an anniversary gift for Ramona.
  • Even knowing what it leads to, seeing Scott and Ramona's wedding and honeymoon in Old Scott's presentation is sweet.
  • Old Ramona went back in time and gave Young Neil the movie script, countering Old Scott's plan, in order to save her relationship with Scott.
Old Ramona: The plan may have been misguided, I just...I had to try. I mean...he's the love of my life.
  • It's implied that Old Wallace is having some issues with his husband. At the end, he's finally convinced to call him.

Episode 8: "The World Vs. Scott Pilgrim"
  • The episode is very direct in showing the former Evil Exes have moved on from Ramona and aren't interested in getting in the way of her happiness any longer, even Gideon. Considering how obsessed with Ramona they were at the beginning of the series, seeing them finally over her and even light-heartedly teasing her and Scott is extremely sweet.
  • The reason the twins refused to fight Scott is because they discovered that at some point in the future they become friends, and they don't want to fight a future friend.
  • During the musical Envy is seen touched by it... And with Lynette. Apparently here they remained friends, as opposed to the comic where Envy tried to kill Lynette with Ramona's hammer over the drummer's affair with Todd.
  • Wallace is the only one of the main cast present at the play not to be pulled into the fight with Even Older Scott. Even Stephen and Kim, who are not fighters, are pulled in. It gives the impression that even though Older Wallace kicked him out eventually, Even Older Scott can not find it in him to hurt or extract vengeance from his most loyal friend.
  • Super Ramona's final words about Even Older Scott. Reaffirming that everyone can still choose to be better, and no one is too far gone to change (even if she won't be dating him anymore).
"He's a mess. But it's never too late to clean up a mess."
  • Super Ramona’s words to Scott after breaking the AK field preventing them from kissing:
"Hey, because I'll have a lot of trouble saying it later, let me say it now: I love you, Scott. And I run away from the thing that I love. But what I've done in the past doesn't have to define me. Help me keep remembering that, okay?"
  • The Big Damn Kiss between Scott and Ramona after returning to the theater and finishing the musical is obviously adorable.
  • The Epilogue has a couple great moments:
    • We get to see Sex Bob-Omb's practice as we did in the first episode, but now with Knives playing alongside them as the keyboardist. Stephen finally feels like they don't suck and Kim actually agrees, attributing it to Knives's inclusion.
    • The Evil Exes are all shown to be in better places now that they've moved on from Ramona. Lucas is genuinely happy as a barista, Roxie is helping Todd hop back on the vegan wagon, Matthew's musical career is thriving, and the Twins are furthering their own robotics research. Even Gideon, the Big Bad of the original comic, has found a genuine romantic partner in Julie.
    • Wallace goes to Paris using the money he earned playing himself and meets another gay Canadian man (Mobile from the comics) while there. The two hit it off and kiss, with both blushing in shock when they realize they feel sparks.
    • The epilogue is also set to two beautiful songs. One of them is an instrumental chiptune cover of 'God Only Knows' that brings all the warmness of the story, while the other is a very special song for the whole series, 'Scott Pilgrim' by Plumtree, the song that inspired the titular character and comics.
