Heartwarming / Phineas and Ferb The Movie: Candace Against the Universe

• As soon as the boys realize that Candace isn't having a good summer, they drop everything to go make her a gift.
• When the boys are getting ready to enter the portal, Phineas says that Isabella, Baljeet and Buford don't have to come as it's their sister and they won't put anyone else at risk. The three of them aren't having any of it and say that they don't care about the danger. If their friends are going, then so are they.
  Phineas: Ferb and I appreciate your help building the portal, but we can't ask you to go. Candace is our sister. She was pretty upset the last time we saw her, and I kinda feel like somehow it's our fault. So we're the ones who have to make this right. This isn't on you.
  (Baljeet, Isabella, and Buford smile)
  Buford: If you think you're going to an alien planet without us, you're even crazier than Candace.
  Isabella: (holding her arm out) Yeah! Bring on the nerve gas puppies!
  (The gang puts their arms in and break it up)
  Everyone: For Candace!
• Perry's dedication and loyalty to protecting his family and nemesis, all the while having to remain unseen. He even gets a song about his heroics.
  Nobody sees him, he's not looking for glory,
  He's not looking for applause.
  He's not trying to be part of someone else's story.
  He's just fighting for a noble cause.
  This is the song of the unsung hero,
  But I guess, technically, he's now got a song. ('Cause I'm singin' it.)
• Candace's reaction to Super Super Big Doctor's imprisoning of her brothers (and Candace's brothers as well) is to proclaim that she loves her brothers and never wanted to hurt them. While this has been shown often in the series, this is the first time that Candace has outright stated it. It's heartwarming to know that despite Candace being obsessed with getting her brothers in trouble, she never actually had a malicious intention behind it nor did she do it out of a hatred towards them.
• After Perry saves him from a fall, Doofenshmirtz is actually touched by the fact his nemesis came all the way from Earth to watch over and protect him (as well as the kids).
• When Candace finally gets to open Phineas and Ferb's gift, it turns out to be a "World's #1 Sister" mug that projects all of the great memories they have of her. She was under the impression that she was no one special, but to them, she really is their Cool Big Sis.
  Candace: What is all this?
  Phineas: It's all the things that make you the coolest person we know! You kick butt! You rock out! And you can always make us laugh with the kind of laughter that makes you squirt stuff out your nose. Summer would be no fun without you! We just wish you could see yourself the way we see you. You may not be The Chosen One...
  Ferb: But we choose you as a sister, every time.
  • Made especially heartwarming when Candace hugs Phineas and Ferb and says that she couldn't have chosen better little brothers.
• The final musical number before the credits, "Us Against the Universe", in which almost the entire cast sings about how they have each other's backs.
  • Bonus points for Perry dancing with the others at the end, out of their line of sight. So often, we see Perry joining the boys in pet mode, but seeing him enjoying himself with them as an agent like in the other movie is such a treat.
  • Meanwhile, Isabella's line in the final verse is a big thank you to the animators.
  • The last time Doofenshmirtz and Vanessa are seen in the film, flying their monster with Vanessa holding her arms around her father's neck. A far cry from the gothic teenager who was always ashamed of her father from the first season.
• "We're Back" from the credits can been seen as the characters from the show telling all the fans "Hey! We know we've been out of the spotlight for a while, but we're back to make you all smile again!" A huge moment to any fan who grew up loving the show.
• Condescension towards Isabella notwithstanding, Heinz' relationship with the kids throughout the whole film.
  • When Doofenshmirtz stays behind to find Vanessa, telling the kids to leave without him, Isabella asks how he plans on getting back to Earth.
    Doofenshmirtz: By adulting. [referring to Isabella] I learned from the best.
  • Isabella then gives Doof the "Getting Back To Earth" patch and, as the kids run to the ship, tells him to earn it.
