Even For Kings

  • Randor and Adam's relationship is better than ever thanks to all secrets being out, so now he even goes as far as sort-of atoning by aiding He-Man and his allies against Scare-Glow, even directly saving Adam at one point.
Randor: Is this bully bothering you, son?
    • When Adam finds out his father was dying for weeks he demands to know why Duncan and his mother let Randor go to Subternia with him. They reveal Randor's last request was to go on an adventure with his son to save two of the champions.
  • Teela and Adam have also fully reconciled and their mutual attraction only gets stronger especially when Adam admires her in battle.
  • Randor dying on his terms: surrounded by his family after having finally joined He-Man on an adventure.
  • Teela is working to restore Preternia, Eternia's version of Heaven, so that Randor and the other heroic souls have a place to rest.
  • Adam's eulogy for his father. He starts by trying to be dignified and aloof... and then stops and tells a story about his childhood
    • The story itself. Adam wanted a billow bike but they were sold out. Rather than using his power as King to get another made Randor spent 4 days making one out of Adam's old bike.
      • Adam, even though he was utterly embarrassed, never told his father how horrible the bike looked. Crosses over into Tear Jerker when he says he never rode it and he would give anything to go back and ride the bike his dad made for him.
    • Adam stating and even apologizing that he will never be half the king his father was.

Ascension

  • While the flashback ultimately ended as a Tear Jerker, it was nice to see a younger Prince Keldor looking after his little brother, Randor, who, in their father's words, thought the former "hung the moons," and even as King Miro and Queen Amelia (Randor's mother) argued over Keldor, it's clear that Miro cared a great deal for his illegitimate, half-Gar firstborn, and Amelia herself earnestly wanted Miro to do right by her stepson in either becoming a true heir to the throne or have the opportunity to become his own successful person in the isolationist Gar homeland of Anwat Gar.
    • For what it's worth, Amelia also deserves a great deal of credit for how she cared a great deal about Keldor despite being an illegitimate child and therefore, not even HER'S.
  • Though part of it is because he doesn't want the crown for himself Adam is 100% on Keldor's side that he should have been king.
