  • VMAs 2011: Beyoncé reveals her pregnancy after a kick-ass performance of "Love On Top" - cut to Papa Hov and Uncle Ye celebrating in the audience.
  • "Glory", a song he dedicated to his newborn baby girl. What makes it even more heartwarming it that in the song, he expressed his fear of losing her due to Beyonce's previous miscarriage.
  • The video of Jay-Z chatting on the subway with an old woman who doesn't have any idea who he is, while he's surrounded by ecstatic fans.
  • On his Behind The Music episode, Nas recounted how he and Jay-Z squashed their feud. The two met, quite literally laughed their beef off, and then Jay asked Nas, whose mother had just recently passed on, if he was okay. Considering how brutal some of their disses to each other got, it's pretty touching.
  • After Beyonce and Jay Z won Best R&B performance at the 2015 Grammy Awards for their song "Drunk in Love", Beyonce asks Jay if he is going to come and accept the award with her. He adorably declined [1].
  • "Smile" off of 4:44. The song is partly an apology for any past grievances he held towards his mother, partly a statement of his acceptance of her being a lesbian, and entirely a declaration that he puts her happiness above anything else. Tied together perfectly by Gloria's verse at the end about accepting one's true identity and the journey it takes to do so.
    • In the video for "The Story of O.J.," when Jay-Z raps about how he can't wait to give the money he's accumulated over the years to his kids (which is heartwarming on its own), there's a shot of Jay's alter ego, Jaybo, surrounded by his own kids, which include a little girl and baby twins. It's one of the few times we see Jaybo smiling.
  • After the tragic suicide of Linkin Park's Chester Bennington, Jay Z took the time to perform "Numb/Encore" both at the BBC Live Lounge, and at the 2017 V Festival to pay tribute to Bennington. During the latter concert, he also requests to turn off the stage lights and encourages his fanbase to light up their cell phones to honor him further.
  • Jay is a Mama's Boy and he doesn't care who knows it (though this could be partially justified in that his father abandoned the family, his mom had raised him and his three siblings as a single parent). He showed just how much love and respect he has for her when she told him that she is a lesbian as he apparently was brought to tears at how his mother trusted him enough to reveal this to him and was finally able to be open about her sexuality. That's right; he actually got her to sing about how she's out and proud! And right toward the end of Pride Month 2017!
  • His Outlaw Couple duet with Beyoncé, seen here. It's sweet, charming and cool.
  • December 4th from The Black Album is a rather strong one too.
  • Empire State of Mind is guaranteed to make any born-and-bred New Yorker feel Patriotic Fervor.
  • All of Jay-Z’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction, from Barack Obama’s tribute to Dave Chapelle’s heartfelt induction speech, but special credit to the video, The Times and Life of Shawn Carter, where several celebrities close to Jay recite disparate lyrics from his songs to describe the man, starting with his wife Beyoncé and ending with an adorable message from his daughter, Blue Ivy Carter.
