• Cabrera's courtship of Beatriz. He asks for her hand in marriage but lets her decide if she wants to marry him or not, accepting either response.
• It's a Tear Jerker, but Isabel's final words to Alfonso are also heartwarming. He asks if he was a good king; she replies, "The best of kings."
