Heartwarming / Godzilla: Final Wars

• During his montage of killing/destroying every monster he comes across, there's the scene where Godzilla fights Anguirus, Rodan, and King Caesar, he wins... and then spares their lives, as opposed to killing them. This is a reference to the fact that Godzilla has teamed up with these monsters in the older films from the Showa era, and while those movies and Final Wars aren't in the same continuity, it's ultimately heartwarming to see the King of the Monsters let his past allies live.
• The fact that Zilla appears in this movie shows that Toho, while not happy about the negatively-received 1998 "remake", is still willing to acknowledge Zilla as a monster.
• Minilla stops Godzilla from killing what's left of the EDF by putting himself in front of them and convinces him to finally let go of his anger toward humanity.
  • Kenta, a young boy whom Minya was tagging along with was the first to stop his grandfather and the EDF from further harming Godzilla, showing compassion for the Big G and it is what inspired Minya to stop his father as well in return.
  • To elaborate fully (and do the moment justice): Kenta's grandfather was introduced while out hunting, and was ready to kill Minilla until his grandson stood in the way, stopping him completely. In the finale, Kenta's grandfather is ready to fight Godzilla (even though all he has is his rifle), but again, Kenta stands in the way, blocking him. We then see Minilla is doing the exact same thing for Godzilla, the same pose and everything, stopping him from hurting the humans. It's a wonderful little moment of synchronicity between the two species, showing that peace between them is absolutely possible
• Godzilla forgiving humanity. Say what you will about the rest of the movie, but considering that a majority of the entire franchise Godzilla and the human race have largely been bitter enemies, it's quite a beautiful thing to see Godzilla walking away into the sunrise, happy and no longer angry.
