• Russian fans of EXO waiting politely and respectfully for EXO's arrival in Russia during 2013. The members look visibly relieved, and were even waving at their fans and clapping for how well-behaved their fans were being. The fact that respect for their personal space is that rare is a bit of a Tear Jerker.
• A bit of a YMMV on this but when Kris left in early 2014, members were saddened and angry at him. Now on 10 October 2014, Luhan has now filed a lawsuit as well against their company to terminate his contract due to health reasons. So far, only Lay has spoken up regarding this and it has been nothing but heartfelt.
  Lay: "Goodbye, Hyung (big brother in Korean). If we ever have the chance to, let's share a stage together once more. As a brother, I support your every decision. Good luck."

• Luhan and Kris talking to each other for the first time since they left EXO. They were scheduled to perform for a Lunar New Year special (before being dropped) and in a video clip that went viral online, they're seen talking to each other and Luhan tells Kris to call him as he's leaving. Fans were absolutely ecstatic.
  • There's also a clip of Luhan interviewing Kris and they both have these giant cheesy grins on their faces.
• Luhan follows both the current and former members on Instagram. He even likes Xiumin's buzzcut selfies the day before the latter went to military.
• Lay revealed that him and Luhan still keep in contact even after the latter's departure from the group.
• Lay, in general, is a Crowning PERSON of Heartwarming. His love for his fans is clear and he always writes sweet messages on his Weibo to thank them on his birthday.
  • One post in general writes, "I hope that before you all send me presents, before you donate, firstly buy some clothes for yourselves, your parents, your family; buy some things that you or your parents and family like, things that they need, or buy some yummy things for yourselves or your family, some nutritious things to replenish your bodies. After all these, then go help those people who need help~ If you have done this, this is already a present for me! I hope to receive presents like this every year~ And hope that you will let your family like us too~"
• Over a year after Kris left, and a few months after Tao, who was like Kris's younger brother, unofficially left, Tao apologized for bashing Kris after he left EXO.
  • Tao also revealing that he's still in touch with some of the EXO members, former and current, including Lay and Luhan.
  • During the Dragon Television New Year's Concert in 2019, Kris and Tao share a hug onstage. Following this, Kris, Luhan, and Tao are back to hanging out together again.
• SM publicly filed a lawsuit against Kris for all of his activities that he has done while his contract termination suit is occurring and not only did Kris and his reps clap back with everything that had happened to him while he was in EXO, but his reps also added that he or his studio will not respond further and despite what happened and what's happening now, Kris will always be forever grateful to SM and everything they had done for him and helping him grow.
  • Imagine moving to a foreign country and signing to an agency who continuously delayed your debut plans and hindered your progress. Then finally you got to debut but a year later, the company cancels your part in a recording you'd been working on for almost two weeks, actively contributing to your perceived image as the lazy one who adds nothing to the group. You ask the manager and SM replies back by forcing you to leave your group for several months. Finally, amid rumors that you purposely attempted to leave, you're allowed back in but not without enduring oppressive treatment, unfair pay distribution and activity offers, bullying by the manager and other staff topped with large amounts of work and little time to rest. Eventually, your health goes to shit, relying on IV drips and shots and soon, you find out that you have symptoms of myocarditis. Enough became enough and you decided to leave after six years of this nonsense. Would ANYONE begin to be thankful and grateful to that agency and the staff for taking care of them? If anything, it probably made him stronger in a Misery Builds Character kind of way, definitely not by supporting or encouraging him. It really says something about his character that he was able to put on a smile to please his fans while going through all of that.
• After his dating news broke out, Kai was looking visibly stressed at an event EXO was attending. However, fans cheered the loudest for his part. There's even a relieved expression from Baekhyun, whose dating scandal was FAR worse received.
• The song Promise also known as EXO 2014 which was written by Lay, Chen, and Chanyeol.
• Lay, due to THAAD, has been on hiatus from EXO activities since 2017. But during his solo activities, he makes it a point to mention that he's a member of EXO even if he isn't asked, and ultimately participates in EXO's 5th album, though his appearance in the music video was only limited to a few seconds, sung two lines in the Chinese version of the title track, and only appears in the special version of the album. He also makes it a point to see his members every time he has a chance to return to Korea.
  • He also posted support messages for Chen's solo debut, and posted pictures of him and Sehun hanging out (which he later deleted because of anti-fans).
  • Suho mentions in an Instagram live on his birthday that Lay didn't greet him at 12'o clock - he greeted earlier because he was going on a flight and wanted to make sure he was able to greet Suho.
• Xiumin holds a fanmeeting days before his enlistment, and all members came to surprise him (excluding Lay, who they talked with over the phone). Kai, who was in the middle of filming overseas, went straight to the fanmeeting upon arrival at the airport and went back overseas to continue filming after the fanmeeting. On the day of Xiumin's enlistment, all members except Kai and Lay were present.
  • Xiumin broke into tears after Kai gave him a farewell message and a hug, which fans see as unexpected because (1) Xiumin was known to be the member of EXO who cries the least, and (2) Xiumin and Kai don't seem to be close due to the age gap and hang out with different members.
  • Lay reveals that he went to Korea and had a meal with Xiumin, Suho, and Sehun, knowing that he won't be able to see Xiumin off when he enlists.
• D.O. voluntarily enlisted for the military and went in two months after Xiumin. With reports and fan accounts of him already in the military without any posts from the other members or the official EXO account, fans assumed that it was because he wanted the occasion to be private. But later in the afternoon, Suho, Chanyeol, and the official EXO IG account posted pictures of seven members sending off Kyungsoo at the military base. Yes, seven. Not Xiumin, who's already in the military, but Lay, who has a solo concert in China five days after Kyungsoo's enlistment.
• In early 2020, Chen took the world by shock when he announced that he was getting married and expecting a baby. Although there were fans that were angered by it, many were emotional and happy for him and his wife. SM also made a statement to say that Chen was going to stay with the group. His daughter was born on April 29, 2020.
