The fact that an abridged series done so well has so much attention to detail. It's clear the team behind it really cares.
All of the Mythology Gags and things of that nature make it clear that the team loves Digimon.
Episode 1: Genesis of Nostalgia:
Tai and Agumon's reunion is still as heartwarming here as it was in the original.
Izzy taking his parents out to dinner.
Episode 2: Pure Sincerity
Kari's talk with Joe about Digimon and his childhood.
Joe and Mimi/Vikemon and Rosemon taking down Blackimperialdramon.
And also trying to talk down Blackimperialdramon, paying much more attention to the fact that he's BlackImperialdramon than the original source material did.
Episode 3: Back to the Beginning
Heracleskabuterimon's Heroic Sacrifice is preceded by Tentomon imploring Izzy to tell Mimi that he loves her. He does. Lots of blushing and adorkableness ensues.
He then mentions that he's not surprised at them beating the Dark Masters with how strong his friends were, before encouraging them to snap out of it so they could enter the portal.
Heracleskabuterimon: I've never buzzed on the other side of you guys on the warpath. No wonder we took down the Dark Masters together. Is this really how you want to be remembuzzed? Purple and buzzed up by some disease!?
Each time one of the digimon vaguely recall something about their previous adventures with the kids, and each time they manage to mega digivolve because of it.
