Heartwarming / Death on the Nile (2022)

• During World War I, Poirot's First Love Katharine coming to visit him in hospital after he's injuring in an explosion, waxing poetic about what it means to love someone.
  • Then, Poirot reveals the extent of his scarring, asking what he'd do about something so hideous. Katharine for her part is shocked for a moment, then steadies herself and gives an iconic reply. "It's simple. You'll grow a mustache."
• Poirot bumping into Bouc on one of the pyramids of Giza. While annoyed at first by his kite flying disrespecting the historical monuments (to be fair, he didn’t recognise him at first), the two are happy to see each other.
• Bouc and Poirot light-heartedly teasing each other over their respective love interests is hilarious and touching. These are clearly two old friends who want one another to be happy.
  Poirot: Do you think you can keep a secret from me? From me?
• Bouc, realizing that Rosalie heard his argument with his mother, decides to commit. That despite not getting Euphemia's blessing, he's going to commit to marry her nonetheless.
• Despite her own anger at Jacqueline's stalking them, Linnet's last interaction with her is an olive branch. That despite this trouble, she appreciates that for Jacqueline, "You were the only one who wasn't about the money." (or so she thought).
• Despite his deceit in spying on the Ottorbournes, Poirot's assessment of their family is that they're hard working, talented and moral women whom Bouc would be lucky to marry into.
• Dr. Windlesham was perhaps the only person of the boat to still love Linnet and hold no true grudges against her. While he mourns the lose of their relationship it is clear that he would rather her have lived with Simon in wedded bliss than die.
  • After his first interview Poirot where the doctor admits his love for Linnet Poirot never questions him again or casts any doubt on his innocence.
• At the end, Poirot attends a show of Salome Otterbourne, likely having romantic prospects with her in mind. And he's shaved his mustache, revealing his scars to show his true self to her in every possible way.
