Even in a game like this, there are still a few moments that make you smile floating around.

  • Woods and Mason are just as friendly with each other as ever, looking out for each other. Woods is genuinely worried about Mason when he falls off a cliff and becomes separated from Woods during 'Echoes Of A Cold War' and is relieved to see him make it out okay, immediately using one of his signature jokes to break the tension and reassure Mason everything's alright.
    • It's rather telling that Mason and Woods trust each other implicitly, as every single mission where Mason is a player character (beyond the first one) features the duo, and only the duo, fighting through hordes of enemies, trusting each other to have their backs.
  • After learning of Madam Shell's attempt to kill Helen Park by decapitation which ended up in scarring her neck, Lazar exacted revenge on Shell by Decapitating her during a mission in Cyprus.
    • When Park reveals the aforementioned nasty scar she got on her neck during the fight with Shell in MI6, Bell can choose to reassure Park that the incident has simply made her stronger, or they can tell her that it makes her look beautiful. Either elicits a brief moment of joy from Her.
      • The latter choice ends up in a Ship Tease moment.
  • In the safehouse level before "End of the Line", Bell has the options to call Mason and Woods "legends". They react to it by downplaying their actions and reminding Bell that they snuck into the Lubyanka Building and survived.
  • After ''End Of The Line'', depending on who survived, Park or Lazar thank a badly-wounded Bell for saving their life, and offer words of reassurance as the endgame unfolds.
  • In the good ending, Bell chooses to continue working with Adler for "The Final Countdown" even after knowing that he was once on the other side and was brainwashed into thinking that he was a long-time friend of Adler.
  • At the end of the game's good ending, Adler expresses genuine pride in Bell's decision to save the entirety of Europe from getting nuked, and tells Bell that they're a hero, and he sounds like he actually means what he says. And then it spirals into Tearjerker territory because he reveals he has to kill Bell to ensure all of Perseus' agents are down for the count and he and Bell bring out their guns and presumably kill each other.
  • In the bad ending "Ashes to Ashes", Perseus seemingly respects/likes Bell enough to join the fight personally to help them ambush Adler and is willing to let Bell rejoin his organization, in comparison to the good ending where Adler betrays Bell.
