• In Dibley Live: Obviously the Vicar was hoping for their Second Prize due to he love of chocolates. But what sort of competition calls up the first place winner, then tells them that they didn't win the second place prize as soon as they answer?
  • Keep in mind that Alice was the one who answered the phone, so she may have simply registered that Geraldine didn't win the prize she was after and decided to prioritise telling her that before re-establishing what she'd won instead.
• In "Celebrity Vicar", after Geraldine appears on a local radio show, she then accepts all other offers to do magazine and television interviews, and is donating her appearance fees to the fund to rebuild the church hall. For not entirely explained reasons, tabloid journalists then descend on Dibley and interview some of the other residents to hear more about those who know the vicar personally. The stories printed instead focus on the villagers' Flanderized character traits and as such are far from flattering, but why is Geraldine to blame for this when it was the villagers themselves who spoke to the journalists? Why are the villagers' traits (which are otherwise free game for discussion at all times) suddenly so humiliating when printed in a tabloid article? And why wasn't Geraldine commended for the presumably large amount of money she raised for the church hall, even if it resulted in a little negative publicity that would soon be forgotten, with her then forced to humiliate herself in order to plead for forgiveness?
  • There's a big difference between mockery between your own friends and family, and being put on a pedestal as a buffoon for thousands of strangers to jeer at. She is probably somewhat misblamed for continuing to seek publicity, as she was also showing some Acquired Situation Narcissism about being "famous" and ignored David's warnings that it could all end in tears, so it's somewhat understandable that she would be blamed and also feel responsible for keeping a spotlight on herself long enough to attract unwelcome attention.
• In "The Easter Bunny", during Lent why didn't Geraldine just have a bar of chocolate and put a pound in the box?
