     And This is For...
  • During the final summation, Velma reveals she knew the curse was fake because what each team member lost wasn't what they cared about most (because they care about each other most). The problem is that when Fred is fighting the Baron, he's knocked for a loop by the Baron reminding him about the Mystery Machine and seemingly gains his Heroic Resolve not to save Daphne, but to punish the Baron for wrecking the van. Is there something that could explain this or did the authors just not think it through?
    • Consider that the Mystery Machine is emblematic of the Scooby gang. It's their home, their transportation, a central part of what Fred brings to the team. Blowing up the van was a blow against the entire gang at once!.

     Not to Mention...
  • Mama Mione claimed that every one the gang busted wanted revenge. Ignoring their loose continuity, last time I recall, there were quite a few culprits that were remorseful for their actions and ended up being redeemed. Take Abracadabra-Doo for instance.
    • Given that they met on the "Scooby gang villains" network, which only someone who was non-remorseful would have joined, maybe she assumed that everyone who was busted did go Never My Fault. They certainly got enough potential helpers.

    Not using your arguments
  • Velma actually has a variety of arguments to protest the group getting involved with the plot but fails to really use any of them. One of the best would be that her "family's lawyer" is a complete and utter stranger to her. Another good one would be that she's a stranger to him, since he only contacted her after getting lucky with a Giggle search.

    What gas?
  • In the end, Velma says she gave away the rights to the natural gas to the locals. Wasn't it all blown up during the villains' attempt to kill the gang?
    • They blew up a gas pocket where methane had already seeped out of the rocks. There's probably plenty more still saturating the ground, that will seep out over time or could be extracted via fracking.
