Odd roster upon reveal
When first announced, MultiVersus had three fighters from Warner Bros. classic animation library (Bugs, Shaggy, Tom & Jerry) four from Cartoon Network (Finn, Jake, Steven, Garnet), four from DC Comics (Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Harley Quinn) an Original Character (Reindog)... and exactly one from HBO (Arya Stark). I'm not against Warner Bros. including fighters from their entire library across different age brackets, but you'd think that they'd do so with a more even balance of family-friendly and mature characters, because Arya currently sticks out like a sore thumb among the rest of the roster.
  • It is likely that the roster was comprised of all the characters that the staff had properly finished (or was close enough to) implementing at the time, plus the other two currently-planned mature characters from [adult swim] (Rick and Morty) were far from finished. Production Lead Time can be troublesome like that.
Class Confusion
Why are Morty and Marvin the Martian, two heavily projectile-based characters, not classified as Mages?
  • Mages are designed to be more complex, focusing more on their unique gimmicks to get an edge in battle than just using projectiles. Rick has his portals, Bugs Bunny has his item-spawning box, and Tom and Jerry is a puppet fighter. Marvin and Morty also have unique gimmicks, but those are not their biggest options to get KOs.
