Headscratchers / Kirby's Return to Dream Land

• According to Shinya Kumazaki, Magolor was banished to another dimension after he was beaten thus explaining how he could appear in later games but in this game he appeared Deader than Dead (his eyes are closed and he spins around and turns into particles of light which spin around and disintegrate). Was him being banished always the plan?
