Headscratchers / Hank the Cowdog

Go To

  • How in the world was Drover able to spell "geography" in Wagons West? Considering that he's, well, a dog (all Hank could do was "jeff-e-o-graff-graff-y"), it doesn't make a lot of sense.
    • Maybe he heard a human spell it at some point? Little Alfred is school age. Also, one aspect of the series is that Hank often thinks he's cleverer than Drover even when the human audience might realize that Drover actually has a point (e.g., the "ostrich boots" argument during The Secret Laundry Monster Files), so the fact that Hank can't spell the word does not necessarily mean Drover (or dogs in general) can't spell it.
  • The Case of the Halloween Ghost: Miss Viola tells Hank that she saw John Dunham's ghost when she was a little girl. How could that be, if John Dunham only haunts Slim's cake house (and it's extremely unlikely that Viola would have gone exploring two miles down the creek in a random shed)?
    • Have you been to the country? People love to explore whatever's around down there? Heck, Little Alfred is shown doing it.
