  • At the end of one of his special moves that began with him twisting his body around, Mikazuki can be seen momentarily holding his side, as if it hurts. Maybe he does have old bones after all…
  • Sending the Touken Danshi out on missions in their Uchiban outfits can result in some unintentional hilarity, especially for those fighting for their lives in tracksuits. Word of God even agrees, commenting that Mikazuki Munechika looks cute while fighting in his Jinbei.
  • Mikazuki Munechika and Sengo Muramasa have a Bond Conversation in which Mikazuki accepts Muramasa's request for them to strip down together, but only when the mood strikes him. Hilariously, when asked by Sengo how to make the mood strike him, Mikazuki simply laughs and says it's a good question that even he doesn't know the answer to.
  • A running gag in Ookurikara's Bond Conversations is how oblivious the more sociable swords appear to be to the fact that Ookurikara wants to be alone, as they will continue to try to force a friendship with him no matter what he says or how bluntly and angrily he says it, much to his annoyance. Even Hasebe falls into this, being completely and cheerfully obvious to how annoyed Ookurikara is in their very much one-sided conversation about the good fortune Ookurikara came into and "graciously" shared with him.
  • While the players don't see the majority of Tsurumaru's antics, when the swords discuss another sword getting into trouble, it is almost always him as the perpetrator. A few of Tsurumaru's mischievous actions include releasing so many grasshoppers into Honmaru that it took hours to get them all out, boobytrapping the storage rooms so that the other Touken Danshi can be surprised—more like pissed—at him for every season, and stealing Mikazuki's snacks. Apparently, the other swords have grown so used to his shenanigans that they just sigh resignedly whenever he does something.
  • Their Bond Conversation spends a lot of time showing the egoistic Chougi and competition loving Yagen puffing up for the Shogi tournament they plan to start in Honmaru, only for the follow up conversation to show them licking their wounds after being unexpectedly humbled by Mikazuki and Tsurumaru wiping the floor with them from the very first round.
