'Stake Land' is a pretty bleak series but there are some hidden humorous gems throughout.
First movie
- Martin's narration noting that Mister still yanked the fangs out of the vampire nun he killed but kindly waited until Sister wasn't around to see.
- When Mister asks a bartender about the recent advances of the Apocalypse Cult known as the Brotherhood, the man jokes about how, like any good bar, they discourage talk of religion and politics.
Second movie
- When the feral Lady hisses at Bat upon meeting him, Bat does the reasonable thing and hisses back.
- After killing The Mother along side Martin, an injured, exhausted Mister lays on the ground and comments that he feels like shit. Martin, in turn, looks down at his beloved surrogate father and says, "You look like shit."
