  • Sonic doing a narration like it was a detective movie, confusing Tails and Knuckles. After Sonic explains what he's doing, Tails and Knuckles provide their own narrations.
    • When trying to fight Unit, Knuckles keeps trying to narrate.
  • Knuckles referring to the books he was returning for Maddie as "the sacred tomes."
  • As Sonic was trying to tell everyone his plan:
Knuckles: Knuckles pretended he was listening... as he readied his attack!
Sonic: Are you still narrating?! Wait!
  • Unit manages to defeat Knuckles by putting him in a fridge and throwing it into the distance. When Knuckles breaks free of the fridge, he ends up getting stuck in a Green Hills sign.
    • Knuckles' Oh, Crap! expression when he's about to crash.
  • Tails tries to tie up the Badnik's legs with his rope but it ends up bouncing off and tying up Sonic's legs instead.
  • When convincing Unit to follow its own desires, it puts on a pair of glasses before reading its poem despite being a robot with only one eye.
    • The poem starts out as normally as it could, but it's clear towards the end that it's not exactly finished.
Unit: It's Unit's ambition to crush all opposition...
      [...]
Caliphate shall fall sudden from the heaven like a weapon. Cloud. Poetic phrase number 73.
  • Having been absent from learning about Unit's passion, Knuckles rushes in and beats it up while it's reading its poem. After convincing Knuckles to stop punching, Tails salvages the main Unit from the pile, who says:
Unit: That poem was not my best. Thank you for the destructive criticism.
  • When Tails asks Sonic if they can keep Unit, Sonic tells Tails that it will be his responsibility to clean up after him and change his batteries. Unit responds that it will take one billion years before its battery expires.
  • Even after being convinced to stop being evil, Unit declares that it will take over the world with its poetry.
Unit: Unit will master the poetic form and the world will cower. You will be the first to fall before this Unit's superior prose, red mean thing.
Knuckles: Did you hear that? It's still evil!
    • Also, the mere fact that Unit refers to Knuckles as "red mean thing". It may have grown beyond its programming, but it still shares its creator's way of finding deragotary ways to refer to Knux.
  • Even though Sonic and Tails obviously spent a while listening to Unit's poetry, Sonic's legs are still tied at the end of the short, meaning he didn't even bother getting rid of the rope in the meantime. When he goes to leave after Tails "adopts" Unit, he does so by hopping with his legs still tied before Tails simply decides to pick him up and fly off.
  • As Sonic does his ending narration involving Team picking up some chili dogs on the way home, the camera focuses on a cloud shaped like said food item.
