Base Game
- In Yandere Mode, Saiko says to Shinji that she has no idea how to solve the breaker puzzle. While it seems like a lie, and may be intended to be one narratively, turning off the power and the color matching puzzle below the breaker genuinely does prevent Saiko from being unable to turn the power back on, as her AI is unable to complete the puzzle needed to activate the switch. Unfortunately, the exploit was patched out in 2.2.
- In Yandere Mode, turning off a light with Saiko next to it results in her giving Shinji a blank stare before turning it back on.
- While it may overlap with Nightmare Fuel for some, Saiko's exuberance about hunting down Akira and Shinji can lead to fairly amusing moments.
- Her sudden mood shifts can lead to contradictions between words and actions.
- Catching the player near a door sometimes causes her to dropkick them through it.
- If a player drags the game out for too long long, she'll eventually get annoyed enough to take the shortest path to get to them and instantly kill them on her next attack.
- She also doesn't like when players use a key that she asks for repeatedly.
- The game is still in early development as of March 2021, so there are a few glitches that can occur while the code is being perfected. These can include Saiko trying to stab the player character without a knife in her hand, getting stuck while attempting to attack a locker, or having a strange reaction to being pushed.
- Some of the names and pictures for the Steam achievements can elect a quick chuckle.
- In Yangire Mode, the bunny drawings that are randomly scattered throughout the school can be used to scare Saiko, who comically throws her hands in the air if Akira uses them in her face. Once Akira gets all pages, Saiko will panic, drop the exit key, and jump out of the nearest window while announcing that she'll be right back, going so far as to run inside if she's outside in order to pull this off.
- Akira can now quite literally chuck a brick at Yangire Saiko and easily steal the exit key off her. Even funnier, she's only temporarily stunned as opposed to getting outright knocked unconscious or killed by being hit with a solid slab of brick. The brick can be found next to the HVAC system on the roof.
Animated Shorts
While the base game plays the scenario of being trapped in a dark building with a deranged stalker more or less seriously, many of the official parody shorts put a more light-hearted spin on the situation:
- Saiko Friday Night has Saiko dancing enthusiastically to the titular song. As the scene progresses the camera pulls back to reveal that she's tied Akira to a chair and is forcing him to watch.
- The Running Trilogy has many moments.
- Part One: Shinji tries to take a selfie with Akira and Saiko, apparently not noticing that the latter is in the middle of assaulting the former. While doing this he accidentally flips Saiko off, causing her to start chasing them through the school.
- Part Two: The video starts with Akira carrying Shinji bridal-style as Saiko tries to chase them down. Saiko pulls of an insane ninja-flip and kicks her knife at the two boys. It misses, but causes Akira to ditch Shinji so he can run faster. The tragic music and exaggerated expression of betrayal really sells it, especially since he's immediately caught by Saiko, who grins maniacally as the JoJo 'To Be Continued' meme plays.
- Part Three: Naturally, the clip begins with Shinji getting tossed out of the nearest window. Akira and Saiko struggle over the knife, which produces many funny moments, including Saiko leaning in to try for a sneaky kiss, Akira getting distracted by her boobs, and Saiko teasing him with the Exit key. The whole thing eventually segues into the 'I do not wish to be horny anymore' meme, and seems to be ending on a heartwarming / tearjerking note as Saiko remembers the good times they had before everything went to hell... until The Stinger plays and Akira flips her off again.
- Dream Meme: Akira is asleep in bed, having a nightmare about being chased by both regular Saiko and Yangire Saiko. He wakes up at the last minute and heaves a sigh of relief... only to roll over and see that Yangire Saiko has been in bed with him the whole time!
- Revenge Of The Fallen: As usual, Akira is being stalked by Saiko. He darts into a classroom and manages to hide inside a locker. Saiko appears to be fooled, so Akira leaves the locker and opens the classroom door... only to find Saiko waiting for him on the other side. He closes the door, and every time he reopens it he's greeted by someone different - first Yangire Saiko, then Shinji, then the long-haired Saiko from Yandere mode. While Akira's wondering how this is possible, Shinji breaks down the door and tries to beat him to death with a table as revenge for abandoning him in the Running Trilogy. Just before he can do it, Saiko appears behind him and throws him out of the window again.
- Saiko no Sutoka Isekai: After being pushed out of a window by Saiko, Shinji wakes up to find that he has been reincarnated... in Skyrim. Cue him looking on in horror as the carriage rolls towards the execution grounds.
