• In 1991, after the troubled fight between Takada and boxing champion Trevor Berbick, the boxer and his cornermen went backstage to wreak havoc, just to being confronted by the entire UWFI locker room. Once they realised they would have to take on an entire crew of shoot wrestlers, they changed their mind and left peacefully.
• For Western fans, every time Takada appeared in a Fundoshi while clubbing the giant taiko drums which opened every event of PRIDE.
