• As Temujin and Kamira make their escape thanks to Kamira's smokescreen, Naruto grabs ahold of what he thinks is Temujin. Turns out Naruto only succeeded in "capturing" Kankuro:
  Kankuro: [as he and Naruto hang precariously from a piece of debris over a beach] Loosin'...my...grip!
  Naruto: Huh? WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU EVEN DOING UP HERE?!
  Naruto and Kankuro: [the wreckage Kankuro is holding breaks, and the pair plummet into the water] AHHHHH!
• Nerugui, the little ferret, takes an instant dislike to Naruto. Attacking him whenever the boy starts to make fun of him. Kahiko can't understand it, explaining that Nerugui is usually shy and timid.
  • Near the end of the film, Kahiko's over-the-top heartbroken reaction when he sees Nerugui prefers spending time with Temujin now.
