  • Deadly Snowstorm: While searching for Giovanni, Anna and Otto notice at the cellar entrance a notorious shadow that seems to be of a person who's holding a knife. As the serious action soundtrack plays out, you enter the cellar… to find an intoxicated Giovanni, holding a bottle of wine, wearing a fur cap, and greeting you in a friendly tone.
  • The Only Redemption:
    • In the beginning of the television commercial concerning the feast, a frowning man resembling Officer Cozzi is surrounded by smiling people before he himself smiles.
    • The first moment at the Cozzis' house turns awkward as Theodora keeps interjecting by trying to talk about Cloe and her baby. Cozzi and Anna keep trying to carry on their small talk as they and Luigi make annoyed/awkward faces.
      • When Anna says that if Regina leaving Adriano down in the crypt is a small argument for them, she doesn't want to think about what a big one would lead to. There is a small pause before Luigi says that it's time for them to leave.
  • The Dada Killer:
    • After Judit's superiors leave her office filled with cigarette smoke, Anna complains how similar a smoker her boss is.
      Anna: They're just awful.
      Judit: Men or cigars?
      Anna: Ha! Both, I suppose.
    • On Manu's instructions Anna finds after helping Dierk after he gets robbed by Manu, exaggerated cartoon versions of Manu, Ulli with a very large body build, Judit with an angry expression, Gustav with his tongue sticking out, and Ruben can be observed.
    • After Sven is given an article about the socialist protests, he says their publisher makes him look reasonable. Anna replies she could bring him around with a few catchy chants and picket signs. The tone of Sven's reply sells it.
Sven: Hey hey, ho ho. Try that, and out the door you'll go.
  • Ladies of the Night:
    • When Anna brings Sven another article, he's caressing Amy. When she catches his attention, his startled expression is priceless.
    • Anna is not above using Puppy-Dog Eyes on Ulli so that he'd release Mitzi from handcuffs.
  • Grey Nature:
    • When Michel Stück arrives to talk the German man out of his suicidal plans, Anna is for some reason dismayed by his appearance. As Michel leaves with the crowd's applause after he has saved the man, Anna declares she's seen enough.
    • Noah being a klutz becomes much more focused in this chapter. For example, Noah gets stuck in an iron lung at the hospital's laboratory and Anna has to get him out. Soon after, a skeleton model falls on Noah while he's trying to look for Dr. Sachs at his office. Anna seizes the moment to poke fun at him.
      Anna: Really, Noah?
Noah: It was an accident, Miss Myers! I was looking for Doctor Ralf and this… thing fell on me out of nowhere!
Anna: Did it scare you to death?
      Noah: Not funny, Miss Myers.
    • When Anna is about to bring the last article to Sven, she overhears him happily singing in his closed office and sees through the keyhole as he plays with Amy, much to her amusement. She then silently signals for some of her coworkers to come peeking as well, and they share jokes about it. When one of them catches Sven's attention by dropping a pencil holder, eveyone rushes to their places before he opens the door and demands to know what's going on. As Anna tries to act innocent while giving a huge grin, he takes a suspicious look at the working staff before giving Anna one more look and ordering her to come in.
  • Forgotten Memento:
    • After Ulli asks Georgette if she is in the photo featuring her posing nude, Georgette confirms so and flirts with Ulli, asking him if he "likes her necklace". Ulli backs away fast.
    • When Anna fails to put in Charles Kistner's spark plug into his car, Ulli takes the opportunity to point out that "the great Anna Myers' Achilles' heel" is "finally found", much to Anna's lack of amusement.
  • No Quarter:
    • Sven's traumatized reactions to having to see his ex-wife Martha again humorously reveals a unique side to Sven.
Anna: You're not very good with bargaining, are you?
Sven: I don't negotiate with terrorists.
Anna: But that's just a... poor financial decision!
Sven: If I get to leave this place five seconds earlier, it's money well spent.
    • When Anna and Ulli catch Manu and fellow homeless children trying to break into a bakery, the children try to incapacitate Ulli. Ulli is unbothered, even letting them tie his wrists with rope.
