  • "It's like we've unleashed the panther."
  • In a comical example of Jump Scare, Mike's sudden shout after getting annoyed by Sulley constantly playing with the ultra-adjustable seat.
Mike: WILL YOU CUT IT OUT?!
  • Mike tries to get his seatbelt on, but it won't buckle, so he ends up pulling the seatbelt so hard he falls out of the car and locks himself out. He tells Sulley to push the button, but there are numerous buttons on the dashboard and Sulley doesn't know what they do.
Mike:: Hey! Don't just sit there! Push the button!
Sulley: Hmm... (examines the dashboard, showing a bunch of complicated buttons on it) Ah. (He pushes a button that makes the hood pop open. Mike struggles to close the hood, but he can't reach it.) I'll get it! (accidentally closes the hood on Mike's fingers)
    Mike: AAAAAAAAAAAH!
Sulley: Oh, sorry! Sorry! (presses a button that causes the hood to fly open, launching Mike into the air.)
Mike: WHOA! (Mike falls into the hood) Ow! Ow! Ow! (The hood closes on Mike; Sulley winces as he listens to Mike's muffled cries of pain. His cell phone rings.)
    Sulley: Hello?
    Mike: PUSH THE BUTTON!
    • It's only after all that indignity Mike suffers does Sulley simply unlock the car door to let him back in.
  • The part where a guy walking down the street sees the car going berserk and starts running in the other direction.
  • Mike finally ends the chaos by pulling the key out of the ignition. Then Sulley tries to realign the mirror, only to accidentally break it, which proves to be the final straw for Mike.
  • After the car finally starts, it crashes offscreen. Sulley remarks how the airbag didn't go off. Right at that moment, the airbag inflates, blasting Mike back up the street into Sulley's hand.
  • Meta: The DVD Commentary for the short. While it may appear to be as the option reads "commentary by directors Pete Docter and Roger Gould". However, it turns out Pete's son Nick and Roger's son Leo who provide the commentary instead. And yet, it gives interpretation of what exactly their parents do for a living is both funny and adorable.
