Funny / Hakkenden: Eight Dogs of the East

• Episode 2:
  • Hamaji working her kidnappers to death in pleasing her by bringing her tea and shoes to match her tastes. She is not going to make it easy on them for kidnapping her.
  • Sousuke just walks into the room when Shino and Satomi are facing each other down with their respective giant familiars and offers them breakfast, completely killing the building tension.
  • Hamaji goes from getting ready to deck Osaki with a table when he jokes about her not leaving to flinging a shoe at Shino when he arrives, lamenting that she was leaving behind the house.
• Episode 3:
  • Kobungo is more or less a walking CMoF. For instance, his first and second meeting with Shino have him land on poor Shino's body and knocks him unconscious.
• Episode 4:
  • Upon seeing a talking raven, a giant inugami, and talking dog, Genpachi immediately asked if he was dreaming.
    • Later on, he feeds Megu like a dog and then mentions he's just amazed at the mysteries of life.
  • After his brother tells him to next time find someone strong willed and won't die easily, Shino appears in his view. Genpachi basically goes, "he'll do" and starts hitting on him.
• Episode 8:
  • Dousetsu's first appearance. His reaction to Megu, the frozen monk and Murasame were all funny.
  • Then, after Shino kicked a drunk man out of their compartment, Sousuke follows him inside...but not before he pours scalding hot water onto Megu and causes it to grow size, freaking both the drunkard and Dousetsu out.
• Episode 9:
  • Hamaji wants Shino to bring her books to her all-girl campus. When Sousuke mentions that it's forbidden for men to enter, she states that he can pass for her little sister. It actually works.
  • Shino draws what scared the living daylights out of him the previous night: a stuffed animal toy.
  • While a newly arrived Genpachi notes that the drawing is cute, and innocently asks Shino if he wants a stuffed toy, Kobungo and Keno are making no effort whatsoever to hide their amusement - and laughter - at the idea that A STUFFED TOY scared Shino almost six ways from witless!
  • Keno sees the guardian of the school (basically a stuffed animal) and immediately walks away, citing it was too much stupidity for him to deal with.
• Episode 11:
  • Keno's exasperation upon realizing that Kobungo thinks he's a girl; he decides to rectify the situation, and Kobungo's reaction is priceless.
  • A still shocked Kobungo is ready to flatten Shino for showing Keno where his peony mark is hidden.
• Episode 12:
  • When Shino turns into an 18-year-old for a day, during his slumber, Kobungo has a heart attack and pushes Genpachi away from the room as he imagines what Genpachi's reaction to the grown-up Shino would be like.
    • From the same episode, since Rio was on the same bed as Shino (should note they only see long hair and a rather bloody, shirtless Rio), Kaname and the foxes immediately said that they never expected him to be "into that kind of thing". Rio is not amused.
• Episode 13:
  • Megu returns to eat with the group. Not only has the fuzzball swollen in size, but he's grown arms all of a sudden to steal Shino's meat.
• In episode 20, Dousetsu encounters Keno for the first time and is taken aback at his beauty. Yukihime approves. In hindsight, this makes Yukihime looks like a Yaoi Fangirl, but it becomes even funnier when you consider she might have given her approval just to troll her master because she probably knows it won't end well.
• Episode 22 has the Scenery Censor where Shino stands fully naked...with Murasame conveniently covers his private part.
