Funny / Distance Wakes The Heart Up

• As Mirabel leaves on her camping trip, her clumsy father brags that she learned her survival skills from him. Antonio instantly panics and begs Mirabel not to die out in the wild, as Augustin frowns.
• Oswaldo once named a new type of candy balls "hairballs" because they reminded him of a girl's hair and still doesn’t understand how disgusting that makes the candy sound.
• Alma tries to "inconspicuously pass" Augustin due to wanting to avoid an awkward conversation and mentally insists to herself that she's not sneaking, because that would be beneath her. Later, she thinks of her actions as "non-sneaking."
• When the Madrigals finally break their taboo about not mentioning Bruno, they start fondly recalling a time where a previous village priest caught his rats trying to eat the communion wafer and chased Bruno across town. Then, this leads to a conversation about who else the priest had it in for (Pepa and her ex-boyfriend who she also tries to ban anyone from talking about, with no success).
  Camilo: So what I’m hearing is, if I want some good stories about when you guys were younger–
  Felix: Try it and you’re grounded.
  Camilo: For simply trying to get to know my neighbors better?
  Felix: For trying to get dirt on your mother and I!
  Antonio: Why are you trying to get Mamí and Papá dirty?
• When Alma makes an O.O.C. Is Serious Business decision to take the day off, Felix briefly wonders if his shapeshifter son is posing as his infamously driven mother-in-law.
