- Shale's constant bitching on the way back from Adamant, followed by getting stuck in a sinkhole. The image is far too amusing.
- Evangeline realizing that Cole watched her undress back at the White Spire, and the way Cole realizes for the first time that other people might object to him seeing them naked (it had never been a problem before, obviously, as no one could ever see him in the first place.)
- Fiona saying "Fuck the Divine" during an argument at the Conclave, and then having to backtrack and clarify she's sure the Divine is a lovely person when the rest of the mages are taken aback by this.
- Cole being very excited at the idea of Rhys turning someone into a frog and then being disappointed that he didn't actually do it.
