Fridge Brilliance

  • The title "What Lies Beneath" has a double meaning: taken literally, it refers to things being hidden beneath a physical surface - like Madison's body at the bottom of the lake. Metaphorically, it can refer to someone hiding some aspect of themselves like Norman, who hides his sociopathic tendencies beneath a facade of being a loving husband and father.
Fridge Horror
  • Norman's plans to get "close" to Caitlin after Claire's "suicide". He's been her stepfather since she was a baby. How long as he been thinking about her like that? Even worse, if Caitlin resisted or if she herself figured out what he'd done, how long before she met the same fate as Madison and Claire?
