Fridge Brilliance

  • TFWiki.net points out in the article on Skid Z's Choice that knowing Megatron, he might have been pretending he didn't recognize Sky-Byte just so he could punish Sky-Byte for screwing up every single mission.
  • The TFWiki claims that in the dub of A Friendly Contest, Sky-Byte marking his fakes with S doesn't make sense (in the Japanese version, it's Side Burn because the S is for "Speedbreaker", so the Autobots know which O-Parts are real) because he should be able to tell which ones are fake. It works, because Sky-Byte is pretty dang stupid.
  • Scourge constantly failing despite being the most competent among the bad guys makes some sense. When he scanned his alt-mode, he also scanned Kelly and gained her terrible luck.

Fridge Horror

  • In the final episode, Scourge and the other Decepticons are taken into custody to be imprisoned alongside Galvatron and his Predacons. But the Decepticons were brainwashed "by" Galvatron into committing their crimes. Shouldn't they be taken to some intensive care ward to be rehabilitated?
    • The Japanese Generation One cartoon continuity explained it in their typically convoluted fashion. (It involves Unicron, Grand Scourge, Megaempress and the Legends Universe)
