In the pilot episode, Elliot and Portia have only negative things to say about Chantal when Dory asks about her, complaining that she sucked, was narcissistic and had nothing to offer. We're immediately inclined to dismiss what they're saying given how callous and vapid they both are themselves. However, as we get to know Chantal throughout the series, we learn that not only were they right on the money about her, but she's even worse.
