Fridge / How I Met Your Father

• Fridge Brilliance: As opposed to its parent series, HIMYF shows its characters casually cursing now and then, more specifically saying "sh*t", which Ted took great strides to actually AVOID using (Most famously, in "Murtaugh", saying "stuff" instead of "sh*t" when quoting Danny Glover's famous line "I'm too old for this sh*t"). While this may be justified in HIMYF running under looser regulations regarding language, it is actually justified in-universe as well: as opposed to fuddy-duddy Ted telling the story to his teenage children, the MUCH more liberal Sophie is telling her story to her college-age son, so she's actually far more likely to freely tell it as it was and drop a couple of S-words now and then.
