1. "Pilot": In the year 2050, Sophie begins telling her son the long story of how she met his father, starting with her going on a date with a man who's moving away the next day, and meeting new friends.
2. "FOMO": Everyone goes to a club while Sophie tries to deal with Ian leaving, and Jesse starts to develop a crush on Sophie. Valentina, struggling with Charlie's constant presence, tries to start a friendship between him, Jesse, and Sid, but Jesse and Sid think she's trying to set them up with Sophie.
3. "The Fixer": Sophie helps Jesse take a picture for his dating profile, and meets his friend Drew, with whom she immediately hits it off. Charlie and Ellen clash over an apartment, and eventually decide to be roommates. Sid and Hannah try to maintain the romance in their long-distance relationship.
