The first three episodes have the Carrangers fight human sized Bowzock members before Grotch accidentally came across Imocho-brand imo-yōkan as their game changer, with the Carrangers responding with their own in the Ranger Vehicles. As the show is an Affectionate Parody of Super Sentai, the first three episodes could be seen as a homage to Himitsu Sentai Gorenger and J.A.K.Q. Dengekitai as both lacked giant robots and were the foundation of later shows that began using giant robots.
The first episode opens with the Bowzock blowing up planet Hazard and being serious in their attack on Earth before the Carrangers show up, later episodes depicting the Bowzock as deadbeats with any evil scheme they devise on their own being purely random due to a combination of chance, motivation, and a lack of common sense. It helps in the Bowzock being hilariously subversion of their predecessors in the Super Sentai series, then get double subverted whenever they receive outside help that makes them genuine threats.
