The reveal at the end of the game gives new meaning to when the pharmacist tries to sell a bunch of "local cures" to Ritona when she asks to buy a painkiller. He's already selling the actual painkillers to Sol under the guise of them being a different type of medicine and Sol is in the room with them, so selling Ritona the real painkillers would run the risk of revealing the scam.
Sol is taught how to cultivate solaris, but if he was never told the actual plant needed to cure "The Invisible Noose," helicoore, he'll continue to cultivate and supply the wrong medicine well after the events of the story!
The concept that a loved one may be being denied proper medical care in the name of someone else's profit without your knowledge is grade A paranoia fuel for anybody who has somebody they care for suffering from a chronic illness.
