    Fridge Brilliance

  • Constantine mentions that water is a lubricant that allows passage between dimensions, then half-joking invites Angela to ask him if there is water in Hell, which he doesn't answer. Of course there wouldn't be water in Hell, since the whole point is that you can't leave once you're there, and thus the use of the vial of Holy Water that he was carrying with him.
  • Why is Gabriel made human in the end? As an angel who has defied God, Gabriel is now a Fallen One like Lucifer. While Gabriel lacks God's Grace to overcome Lucifer's defenses and smite him, that doesn't mean Gabriel is not a threat in his current state. So, Lucifer uses this chance to further push Gabriel down to mortal, a being who is far weaker and so not as much of a threat to the Fallen One.
