  • In episode 1, Suzaku excuses himself for kicking Lelouch in the head by claiming everyone looks alike in the helmet of his battle armor. Then adding on that he still hasn't figured out how to turn off night vision. Even Lelouch agrees after he mistakes his half brother Clovis for David Spade while wearing it. Depending on the quality of the helmet's night vision, it's possible that the night vision doesn't allow for much facial detail. Hence why its so easy to mistake other people while wearing it.
  • In the first version of episode 13, Lelouch says vehemently that British people don't exist. Strictly speaking he's not wrong. As in their universe they're known as Britannians.
    • Additionally, looking at a map of Britannia, the majority of the Britannia owned land holdings are actually centered in the continent known in our world as the Americas. And the islands known to us as the British Isles are under the control of the E.U. So... technically Lelouch is right. In their world, British People proper don't exist. And presuming the language widely spoken in that region of the Americas is English, then, yes, they're speaking "American".
  • In relation to the above, when Shirley speaks to Mao after shooting Viletta she says she "shot a Hispanic woman". Though Viletta is dark skinned and speaks with a noticeable accent in the abridged series (without one in the English dub of the series), she's never noted to be anything but Britannian, and a knight for that matter. In the main series, among the many "Areas" that Britannia has possession of, is included Area 3, which compared to real world maps encompasses the whole of Central America and Mexico, and Area 6 which is South America. As there are both directly connected to Area 1, the Britannian Homeland, Viletta may indeed be considered a Hispanic Britannian, and not distinctified from the non Hispanic Britannians like how the Japanese are.
  • Also in relation to above, Lelouch declared in episode 12 that they'll be stealing money from old people to fund their activities. And in doing so they'll be doing it the "old fashioned American way". Kallen of all people points out that this is a bit nonsensical considering they're in Japan, not America. But considering Lelouch is Brittanian which is, again, based in what's our world's America, he probably grew up being taught that this was the "American way". Thus his most common idioms are likely the ones he grew up with.
  • In episode 8 Lelouch as One declares to Princess Euphemia that they meet again, though she retorts that they haven't met yet, which flusters him. Come episode 9, Lelouch's flashback explanation shows that he has met Euphemia before, as her half brother Lelouch. But as Euphemia has never met One, his declaration of them "meeting again" has no meaning go her, since she has no idea who One is under the mask.
  • Episode 15 is titled "Identity Crisis on Three Earths". During the episode, there are a few indications that Luffy is present in the background. Six days later, in None Piece Episode 7, Luffy goes through a portal into the Soul Eater world, and the next time we see him, he has a sniper rifle aimed at Lelouch. Seven months later, we get Soul Whatever: "Third Earth", which shows us (among other things) what Luffy was doing. Additionally, it ties in the alternate version of Episodes 5-7 of None Piece. The title "Third Earth" ties in with Episode 15's title and indicates that all three episodes were planned from the start.
