Fridge pages are Spoilers Off. You Have Been Warned!

Fridge Brilliance:

  • The Fact that Chiara didn’t recognize Ana as Helena, makes lots of sense when one considers that 10 years have passed since she last saw her. And Helena‘s physical appearance changed a lot in the past 10 years, her hair was shorter and darker and she was wearing dental braces.
    • The same goes for Bia after she finally comes face to face with Ana/ Helena in season 2.
  • Carmín under going Character Development much faster than Ludmila and Ámbar did. Makes perfect sense because unlike the two of them she isn’t a teenager she is a young adult and therefore possesses enough emotional maturity to get over petty grudges much quicker than a teenage girl would.
  • How did the Laix team know the choreography to Si Tu Estas Conmigo in the season 1 finale? They had already hacked El Fundom's system and installed cameras there to spy on their rivals.
  • Speaking of Si Tu Estas Conmigo, there is a lot of visual symbolism in the choreography and clothing that manages to show a lot of character relationships as well as the values and personalities of the two rival teams:
    • The song starts out with Bia and Manuel, the Official Couple, representatives of the two feuding families.
    • The members of El Fundom all wear light metallic and pastel colours, showing their status as the protagonist group as well as the fact that they're different, but united by a common element.
    • While they're performing the song as planned, they are facing the audience. When the Laix team arrives, the two groups face each other.
    • In contrast with El Fundom, the Laix team wear black with silver/ metallic accents, representing their antagonists status.
    • Jandino's clothing is an interesting case - it's mostly light, but he has a metallic black coat on. This shows that while his heart is with El Fundom (which is the side he takes in the performance), he is legally still a part of Laix.
    • When the two groups mix, the choreography depicts a fight. When it starts looking a little too real between Alex and Manuel (a representation of their real-life relationship), the music dies down for a bit and Bia quite literally comes between them, singing softly while looking Manuel in the eyes. He takes her hand and sings back in the same manner, and the performance resumes. This reflects several points from their history - first, the short-lived love triangle with Bia in the middle, which starts their fight; then, the revelation that she is an Urquiza, which gives the fight a different reason - the two guys now have polar opposite feelings for Bia; then, Manuel choosing his love for Bia over his family ties.
  • Although he knows her secret identity, Thiago never calls Ana "Helena", not even in private. Victor, on the other hand, insists on calling her Helena, and wants to rekindle their old relationship after she reveals herself to him. The fridge brilliance comes in when one considers how, after losing her memory and being renamed Ana by Thiago, she lived under that name for 10 years, going from a teenager to an adult. She is literally not the same person as she was when Victor knew her. She is Ana now. Victor still loves Helena. Thiago loves Ana, who loves him back. The Helena who loved Victor back is sadly gone.
  • Why does Bia suddenly recognise her sister's voice in the finale when she hasn't managed to all season? Ana/Helena has been very careful not to sing during their piano lessons. Bia recognises her singing voice when she finally hears it by virtue of Contrived Coincidence.
  • Also in the series finale, a Fortune Teller tells Bia she will be saved from danger by a great love. Chiara and Celeste dismiss this, assuming Manuel paid her to say it, but they forget there is more than one kind of love. The love that saves Bia from drowning after she falls into the lake is her sisterly bond with Ana/Helena.
