Fridge Brilliance
- Some species of spiders will feed themselves to their newborn
offspring or eventually attack to force them to fight back, with the goal of awakening their hunting instincts. Now, what happened between Kumo and Alice, again? - Some arthropods are able to mimic ants in order to hunt them. Alice improves her super concentration ability by copying Dinoponera and later infiltrates Kuramoto's colony by pretending to not know what is going on and then faking being brainwashed by her.
- The narrator plays up how superior dinoponera ants are to paraponera ants, but when it comes to their poison, the paraponera's is generally regarded as the worst one in real life. In-story, Dinoponera suffers a harsh Humiliation Conga due to her carelessness and inexperience, despite seeming invincible at first.
- When Jigabachi and Anabachi set their nerve gas on Kabutomushi, she's not the only one who shrugs off the poison's effect. Yoriko isn't wearing a gas mask but doesn't seem affected, either... As it turns out, Yoriko has incredible poison resistance thanks to her Strepsiptera motif.
- When Alice confesses to Yoriko that she has killed people before, she thinks it would be impossible for Yoriko to just confort her and say it wasn't her fault. Then Yoriko does just that because she knew exactly what Alice wanted to hear.
- Alice knew when to save Gokiburi from Hibiki and his goons because she had set strings on her neck like a tin can telephone, but since she didn't really trust the roach back then she was actually considering killing her right there as a warning in case Goki betrayed her.
- The ending features a sex zombie apocalypse akin to the plot of Shivers (1975) but for better or for worse doesn't really showcase it in detail. To quote from the aforementioned film's page, imagine people suddenly making out with everyone else, whether the other person wants to or not, and regardless of things like attractiveness, age, or relatedness until dying of starvation.
