Besides Dean and Rickles, all the characters die in an order that matches how much information Joey reveals about them. Rickles and Dean had the least revealed and die first (though Rickles dies second despite having less revealed about him). Then Sammy "dies" by being controlled by Abigail after biting her, even if she doesn't truly die until after Peter. Peter, who had a fair bit of his past revealed, is the second to last to die. Finally, Frank, whom Joey had revealed the most about, dies last.
They also all die in the opposite order that Joey analyzed them.
