Witchblade is a franchise based around a magical sentient gauntlet called the Witchblade and its chosen host/wielder.

  • Action Girl: The Witchblade tends to take female hosts, granting them great power.
  • Character Title: Most works in the franchise are titled after the Witchblade itself, an Empathic Weapon.
  • Heroic Host: The Witchblade-wielding heroines of the franchise. The Witchblade forms a symbiotic relationship with its host, granting them powers.
  • Our Witches Are Different: A Weapon Title, that implies that all of its wielders are witches. It has Evil Knockoffs and all their wielders are women.
  • Weapon Title: Most works in the franchise are titled after the Witchblade itself, a living weapon.
