Guess who's wearing the pants in this relationship...

Larry: (grabbing a name pin) I got Florabelle.
Florabelle: Honey! (hugging Larry) Darling!
Moe: (holding a name pin) I got Corabelle!
Corabelle: Oh darling!
Curly: (grabbing a piece of paper out of the hat) I get Stetson. Which one is she? (Moe slaps Curly on the head) Oh!

In their 27th short, the Stooges propose to their fiancées... for the 100th time. However, their father refuses to have them marry his daughters, leading to the trio to go on strike while staying in his household until he renounces his denial. After three weeks, they'd won the strike and got married. When moving to their new house, it turns out they have to build it themselves, in which they decide against it, but they're forced by their wives to do it.

This short features Betty Mack as Corabelle, June Gittelson as Florabelle, and Marcia Healy (sister of the Stooges' former boss Ted Healy) as Dorabelle.

This short contains examples of:

  • Bizarrchitecture: No avoiding it, given the labor force.
  • Chubby Mama, Skinny Papa: Larry marries the overweight Florabelle.
  • The Dog Bites Back: While he's chasing Larry, Moe ends up getting his finger caught in some plumbing. Larry gleefully takes advantage of this by giving Moe a good kick in the butt, then hitting it with a 2x4. Too bad Moe quickly gets free after that.
Moe: Hey, Larry! Help me! My finger's caught!
    Larry: Are you sure?
Moe: I'm sure, I can't get it out!
Larry: (with slightly sadistic glee) That's all I wanna know... (kicks Moe's butt, then grabs the 2x4 and whacks it)
  • D.I.Y. Disaster: The Stooges are forced to make the house after discovering there aren't any carpenters.
  • Dumbass Has a Point: Curly wakes up with his shoes having been dried in cement. After Moe drills them through and inserts dynamite to blast them out, Curly realizes he can just take his shoes off.
    • Subverted in the exchange leading up to it.
      Curly: You're not gonna blast?!
      Moe: What would you do?
      Curly: ...I'd blast.
  • House Squatting: The Stooges have a "sit-down strike" until their girlfriends' father changes his mind. They eventually win the strike.
  • Huge Guy, Tiny Girl: Moe marries the short Corabelle.
  • Running Gag: Curly's paved cement gets stepped all over by Moe and Larry, as the latter is being chased by the former in retaliation for a board.
  • Tiny Guy, Huge Girl / Hot Guy, Ugly Wife: Curly marries the tall and eldest sister Dorabelle.
  • Waving Signs Around:
