So, the one who has beckoned for me is you?...

The Devil Within is a Street Fighter and Tekken Fan Film directly meant to tie into Street Fighter X Tekken, directed by Christopher B. Cowan and Haile Lee, created by the Thousand Pounds Action Company.

Ryu (played by Dan Southworth) is having horrible visions of a demonic, winged warrior bearing the power of the Devil Gene reaching out to him through the other dark force within him, the Satsui no hadou, and beckoning him to battle. Seeking Ryu's power for himself, Kazuya Mishima (played by Mark Musashi) ambushes Ryu as he mediates at Gouken's dojo. Not far away, Ken Masters (played by Reuben Langdon) senses something is wrong and rushes to his friend's aid.

Uploaded onto Youtube, it is viewable here.

This fan film series provides examples of:

  • Big Damn Heroes: Right as Ryu is beaten down by Kazuya due to the Satsui no hadou acting up, Ken come charging in launching a Hadoken to save his best friend.
  • Boring, but Practical: Kazuya's Mishima styled karate has less flashy moves than Ryu and Ken's Ansatsuken style, but it is deadly effective.
  • Curb Stomp Cushion: Kazuya manages to beat down both Ryu and Ken. The two didn't lose unfazed however. Ryu was just as much disabled by the Satsui no hadou fighting him from the inside, and Ken managed to knock the Mishima down hard enough Kazuya had to use the power of the Devil Gene to get back up.
  • Determinator: With Ryu suffering episodes from the Satsui no hadou and Kazuya having beat him down with the Devil Gene's powers, Ken is left beaten with a dislocated arm. Doesn't stop him from starting to doggedly drag himself after Kazuya for the sake of his friend, snarling that he's not done yet.
  • The Juggernaut: Kazuya is borderline unstoppable, tanking multiple powerful hits by Ryu and then Ken before getting back up for more.
  • Kamehame Hadoken: Ryu hits Kazuya with his Gouken's trademark move. Later, Ken blindsides the Mishima with one when charging in to save Ryu; spurring Kazuya to note they use the same techniques.
  • Shoryuken: Ken hits Kazuya with both the normal variant but also the more powerful, flaming Shinryuken.
  • Superpowered Evil Side: The plot is kicked off by Ryu and Jin Mishima's respective dark powers reaching out to each other, compelling their bearers to fight.
  • Super-Toughness: Kazuya, thanks to the Devil Gene, tanks through virtually everything Ryu and Ken can throw at him. It takes two of Ken's strongest moves one right after another to even knock him down for a time.
