Middle Man is a 2016 Black Comedy directed by Ned Crowley.
The story is about a unfunny comedian named Lenny Goodman (played by Jim O'Heir) who gets tied up in an... interesting set of events. Saying anything else would spoil the movie.
The film also stars Josh McDermitt and Andrew J. West.

Middle Man contains examples of:
- Downer Ending: Lenny seems to have won: He got the girl, Hitch is dead, he's making a killing being a comedian, famous as can be...then the police invade a talk show he was on...then he wakes up. It turns out to have been a dream. Even worse, Lenny accidentally suffocated the girl while trying to quiet her screaming with a pillow, Hitch is dead, the policeman is in the room, and he looks like Hannibal in a murder scene. At that point, all he can do is laugh. So he does.
- Soundtrack Dissonance: During the ending. A broken Lenny laughs maniacally after being caught by local police and revealed to have killed everyone in the motel instead of Hitch. While the camera pans out, a classical song plays to fit the mood.
- What the Hell, Hero?: Most people have the common sense not to shove a pillow into someone's face to stop their noise, but Lenny does not, judging from him killing Grail that way in the ending.
