A 2000 romance written and directed by Rob Morrow, who also stars as the titular character, that follows a painter and sculptor dealing tourette's and OCD, falling for his best friend's (Craig Sheffer) pregnant girlfriend (Laura Linney) when his friend goes for long trip to Africa.

Not to be confused with the Book, Maze: Solve the World's Most Challenging Puzzle.

The movie also stars Robert Hogan, Gia Carides, Betsy Aidem, Matthew Leone, and Lanny Flaherty.

It was released on October 10, 2000.

Maze provides examples of:

  • Actor Allusion: Morrow had previously played a character with tourette's in the movie Other Voices, though with a milder version of the disorder.
  • Character Title: Maze.
  • Friend Versus Lover: Lyle is in love with Callie, the pregnant girlfriend of his best friend, Mike, who has to leave for a while for a trip to Africa as a doctor.
  • Hollywood Tourette's: Lyle has this, for one example is that he would occasionally slap himself, saying wake up and other times would awkwardly shake his head, which makes it difficult for him to communicate with other people.
  • One-Word Title: Maze.
  • Tagline: "The opposite sex is the greatest art form of all".
  • Time-Shifted Actor: Matthew Leone plays a younger version of Maze in the film.
  • Unnamed Parent: Lyle's father, played by Hogan, is only known as Lyle's father.
