Killer/saurus is a British Dinosaur movie by Steve Lawson.

Professor Peterson (Steve Dolton) is a scientist working in the field of bioprinting to recreate organs and limbs for use in human transplants. Unfortunately, due to low funds, he's had to seek funding from a corporation that's more interested in its use for biological weaponry. As such, the Prof. has agreed to use his research to recreate a living, breathing dinosaur as part of their plans.

He is successful in this endeavor, but it comes at the cost of three of his scientists, which compels him to shut down the project.

Three months later, though, one of the scientist from the project, Kayleigh Ma (Helen Crevel), at the behest of her reporter boyfriend Jed Bailey (Kenton Hall), returns to the shut down research facility where Peterson has been holed up all this time. In there, the reporter comes to learn of the research, and what it's lead to.

The movie was released on July 6th, 2015.

Killer/saurus contains examples of:

  • An Arm and a Leg: When Jed is reaching into the room the dinosaur's being kept in, he pulls out a severed arm.
  • Body Horror: The Sergeant, after getting trapped in the printing room with the dinosaur, forcefully has dinosaur DNA zapped into him by the laser bioprinter. When he comes out, he has claw hands, reptilian skin, and sharp teeth.
  • Corrupt Corporate Executive: The CEO funding Peterson's research wants to use Peterson's research to recreate a dinosaur so he can use it to create human-dinosaur Super Soldiers. He has no empathy for all the people the project has killed, and is willing to threaten others and use unwilling volunteers to complete the project.
  • Handgun: Peterson keeps one in his desk.
  • Hoist by His Own Petard: The CEO funding Peterson's research wanted to use it to create human-dinosaur Super Soldiers. He finally gets one, and it kills him.
  • Interrupted Suicide: When Kayleigh and Jed show up at the facility, Peterson has put a gun under his head and is about to blow his brains out, only to stop when he hears Jed calling him over the front door intercom.
  • No Ending: Professor Peterson decides to abandon the project, and he and Kayleigh begin fleeing the facility. Then the screen goes black and the credits roll.
  • Off with His Head!: Well, HER head anyway. In the opening scene, a female scientist goes into the printing room to check on the finished dinosaur, which then attacks her. Her severed head flies out of the room.
  • Outliving One's Offspring: Part of what motivated Professor Peterson's research into bioprinting is because his daughter died on a waiting list for an operation from something terminal.
  • Time Skip: After the intro scene, the movie skips ahead three months to Kayleigh and Jed waking up.
