Amelia's Children (Portuguese title: A Semente do Mal, meaning The Seed of Evil) is a 2023 Portuguese horror film directed by Gabriel Abrantes.
31-year old New York resident Edward (Carloto Cotta) has been searching for his biological family for a long time. He discovers through a DNA test that he has a twin brother called Manuel (also played by Cotta), who lives with his mother in Portugal. Edward travels there alongside his girlfriend Riley (Brigette Lundy-Paine), but the two discover that Edward's family holds some sinister secrets.

- The Bad Guy Wins: While Riley and Edward manage to escape, Amelia got exactly what she wanted by getting pregnant with Edward's child, and she is youthful again by the time the credits roll.
- Beauty Inversion: Anabela Moreira is quite an attractive lady, but here she plays the elderly Amelia, who's had a lot of plastic surgery that left her looking very unflattering.
- Bed Trick: Amelia pretends to be Riley through magic and sleeps with Edward to get pregnant from him.
- Eats Babies: Amelia feeds on her own babies because doing so keeps her young.
- Hot Witch: Young Amelia looks like a hot redhead in her 20s, as played by Alba Baptista.
- Parental Incest: Amelia sleeps with her sons so they will provide her with more children to feed on. Manuel is in a willing romantic relationship with her (likely having been groomed for it since a young age), but he is also sterile, so they send for Edward so he will give her a child.
- Plastic Bitch: When Edward first meets the elderly Amelia, the plastic work she has done on herself is very noticeable, and Edward comments on it to Riley. She soon reveals herself to be not only unpleasant in her interactions with Riley, but also an evil and murderous witch.
- Time-Shifted Actor: Anabela Moreira plays Amelia in her old age, while Alba Baptista plays her young self.
- Vain Sorceress: Amelia eats her own children so she can always be young and beautiful. When she can't do so for a long time, she resorts to excessive botox to try to retain her beauty, which fails as it makes her look awful.
