- Comments: The best Until Dawn fic this troper has ever read. The mentioned pairing takes a backseat to Josh rebuilding his friendships with everyone in the group with lots of humor, poignant moments, and yes, the occasional Tear Jerker. - Synopsis: Sam and Mike go off to hunt monsters after the events of the game.
- Pairing: Sam/Mike
- Comments: This isn't really a shipping fic, rather, it focuses on the friendship between Sam and Mike. It's probably my favorite Until Dawn fanfic, and it's got a the perfect mix of humor and deeply serious moments, and everyone is perfectly in character when they appear. — [=Clover Rose 16]

- Synopsis: They found five survivors when dawn came. They left the rest behind. (Or, what would happen if Jessica and Matt were never picked up from the mines?)
- Pairing: None (Jess/Matt/Josh is hinted at but they're more platonic than anything)
- Comments: A stupendously interesting fic. Matt and Jess know next to nothing about what went down that night, and they've sustained enough injuries to land them both in hospital about four times over, and they're forced to survive alone on the mountain with whatever they can scavenge. And they find Josh!! Who not only survives, but has people to reality check for him while they figure out a plan of attack. They stick together fiercely. This feels like a much more realistic outcome than the canonical 'they all live' ending, plus Josh survives so that's a bonus.
- Tags: Graphic depictions of violence. Everyone is pretty beat up, and Josh's hallucinations/paranoia are as present as ever.

- Synopsis: Mike and Sam have a moment alone during their horror night that can take their relationship somewhere unexpected. Includes unhealthy and pointless amounts of fluff and angst.
- Pairing: Mike/Sam
- Comments: A mostly post-game fic revolving around everyone, but especially Mike and Sam, trying to heal from the trauma of that night in Blackwood. There's angst, but cuteness, and it's ultimately an uplifting story. It's also a "Josh lives" fic that treats him fairly, despite the shipping rivalry, so if you're a fan of him there'll be something for you too.
I Trust You by slightlyrabid

- Comments: Probably the best 'saving Josh from the curse' fanfic for this pairings. Thrilling action, great characterization, giving both Sam and Josh plenty of obstacles to Earn Your Happy Ending.
