Proof that the remaining 10% is worth slaying a hundred men for.

These are recommendations made by tropers for Insert Fandom Name Here fanfics, all of which have to be signed to stay on the page. After a few samples, you will be able to note the interests of the tropers recommending them, and judge whether you might be also interested in a certain 'fic.

Feel free to add a fanfic of your own to the list, but remember to use the template found here. Do warn when a fanfic may head into sexualnote  or non-canon territory. Some people just don't like it, and as we all know, Shipping is Serious Business.

Reviews of fics are encouraged, but if you choose to write one, please make it substantive, and give specific details about what you liked / disliked in the fic. If you want to give a fic a thumbs-up without writing a full review, you can add your troper handle to the Recommendations Line. Please refrain from posting "Comments" or Conversation in the Main Page though; that goes in the discussion page.

Apotheosis and also here by Gladiator
  • Recommended by: Jean-Claude Van Damme
  • Status: Incomplete, however it's almost finished with only two remaining chapters.
  • Crossovers: Dungeons & Dragons, Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous, Berserk, Warhammer 40K (yes, really)
  • Synopsis:The Knight Commander, known as Arlan Vorlesh, did not die that day when he hurled himself into The Worldwound. Instead he finds himself in another plane. A world ruled by demons, and he owes a great debt to The Black Swordsman. One he intends to repay. This marks the beginning of another crusade. The Godhand would die. They would be put to the flame, and he would become the herald. The champion who would save Guts. He would save them all. Whether his death was a consequence? It did not matter to him. Only the crusade did. Only war. War everlasting.

I've Managed To Save Mami-san (and also Sayaka-san, and Kyoko-chan, etc.) by Nemo (nameless920)

  • Recommended by: Cronosonic
  • Status: Complete, but the author is making more of these as time goes on.
  • Crossovers: Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Attack on Titan.
  • Synopsis: A short series of doujin comics where Guts inexplicably starts popping into other worlds and saving people from a horrific fate - first he shows up in the world of Puella Magi Madoka Magica where he saves Mami Tomoe from Charlotte, saves Sayaka Miki before she can become Oktavia von Seckendorff (by both literally slaying her shadow and imparting sage advice to her), and also intervenes to help Kyoko Sakura take down Elsa Maria. He's still being serious and brooding as ever, but once the magical girls start getting familiar with him, he just ends up being The Comically Serious. Later, he ends up in the world of Attack on Titan, where he shows up at the Battle of Trost to save Mina Carolina from being eaten by a Titan and later fights the Female Titan to help Levi's squad. Seriously, it's a series of comics showing Guts being a complete badass, with a dash of humor here and there. It also helps that the art is excellent, Nemo does a shockingly admirable job emulating the late Kentaro Miura.
