These are recommendations made by Tropers for Fan Fics, all of which have been signed. After a few samples, you will be able to judge whether you might be interested in the 'fic, based on who recommended it. Feel free to add a fanfic of your own to the list, but remember to use the template found here.
No-name recommendations will be zapped. Nobody would back up the rec. Discussion of the recommendation is welcome on the discussion page. As such discussion is important, do remember to add the discussion page to the watchlist, if need be.
Do warn when a fanfic may head into sexually explicit or non-canon territory. Some people just don't like it, and as we all know, Shipping is Serious Business.
Picture (Im)Perfect

- Synopsis: Just how did DJ Grooves get his hands on the last Time Piece? Short answer: it was Mustache Girl.
- Comments: A good adaptation of Chapter 2's finale if DJ Grooves won the award. It remains largely faithful to the events of the finale while expanding on several details not known in the game. You also really feel for Hat Kid as well, as the poor thing goes through a good bit here and it gets really intense during the actual battle itself. Overall, while not perfect, It's a generally well-written and action-packed fanfic.
Being Human by Erekio

- Synopsis: "It was too much for Snatcher. He had no idea what was happening, what was going on around him. He felt something pounding inside him, fast, with a panicked rhythm. His horror came back at full force when he understood what it was. This was his heart, beating inside his chest, defying every possible logical explanation. The ghost had come back to life." Snatcher breaks a Time Piece and has to face the consequences.
- Comments: Inspired by the awesome "Oh The Humanity" AU by doodledrawsthings. In this AU, Snatcher accidentally breaks a time piece and turns back into a human. Now he has no powers, has to readjust to his humanity and, much to his anger, has to ally himself with Hat Kid and Bow Kid to find a way to return to his previous body before Vanessa freezes the forest. Unfortunately, this is easier said than done. A very interesting story about the Snatcher that is pretty dark in some moments and also features a certain fan favourite character in an important role. If you're interested in the AU, there's a slightly outdated but still reliable masterpost on doodledrawsthings Tumblr page that includes some links to other AUs of the AU.

- Synopsis: Moonjumper, a dream being, had controlled Vanessa once but these days are no more. Snatcher saved her, and everything is pointing towards a recovery of Subcon Forest.
- Comments: A fantastic AU based around the idea that Vanessa's actions weren't her own and she was instead being controlled by a jealous Moonjumper, who was once Vanessa's playmate and hated Snatcher stealing her attention. Every member of the three is actually sympathetic and have interesting interactions with each other while also detailing the Fridge Horror that the game didn't answer. Highly recommended, especially if you are a fan of the Snatcher.
Soul-Stricken by Nosferatank

- Synopsis: Stealing whatever soul he wished for centuries wasn't without consequences. Hat Kid's soul is too strong for him to hold, and now both of them need to set this right- if they can work together, that is.
- Comments: A Body Swap AU where Hat Kid’s soul fights back against Snatcher and forces him out of his own body, resulting in Snatcher being stuck in Hat Kid’s now soul-less, though not mindless, body. On the mission to switch their souls back, they learn to cooperate, and find out there’s more to Snatcher than a simple ghost.
- A creative and surprisingly in-depth AU with a heavy focus on Worldbuilding and Found Family with Snatcher as an older brother figure. The writing style is excellent, the main characters are layered and have believable development, and the series as a whole sets up Foreshadowing that can have payoff as far down as the final fic. Very much recommended. The series is complete with nine fics, ranging from small glimpses of events to larger plot fics, and a Masterpost with art on the author’s tumblr.
